I started Soil and Spirit after spending time working in the natural foods and natural products industries.

During my time as a buyer and department head for a natural products retailer, I began developing meaningful relationships and exchanges with the people behind personal care brands. I realized I wanted more of that — meaningful, thoughtful conversations and interactions with brands that were making an impact on a local and global level. I branched off, started working as a consultant, and began helping these brands grow their businesses directly. My client list includes personal care brands, herbalists, authors, a cannabis chef, an ethnobotanist, a holistic esthetician and more. See what my clients have to say about working with me.

Additionally, in May of 2021, I became a Death Companioning Initiate through Cole Imperi’s School of American Thanatology! This progressive, intensive hybrid course blended education in essential skills from the fields of chaplaincy, thanatology and death companioning. The material focused on death education, modern grief theory, history of death caregiving, as well as pandemic and crisis-specific skills and information. In my spare time, you can find me spending time with my husband, daughter, and our cat, identifying plants, crafting in the kitchen, browsing through the many books in my home resource library, or studying herbalism.

If you can’t tell, I like to stay busy. Good busy. My mind is constantly at work.
